FROM THE TENT (Race Updates)

If you have not registered for CSTS # 4 (August 1); online registration will continue until midnight Friday July 30. Late Registration and packet pick will be Saturday July 31 from 5 to 7 PM at James Island County Park. There will be NO Raceday registration. Packet pick up will resume at 6 AM on Raceday. Best plan, if possible, is to pick up on Saturday to avoid longer lines on Sunday. If not please arrive early (6 AM) on Raceday. Remember to bring photo ID in order to pick up race materials.

HYDRATE! Hydration is a process; to properly hydrate you must make it part of your training. Raceday is too late to hydrate; with the expected hot weather please hydrate fully the Friday and Saturday before the triathlons.

Online registration is currently open for the Championship Race on August 15th. Please register as soon as possible as we expect this race to close out shortly.

Spectators are a special part of CSTS; the cheering and homemade signs give the race a very special feel and add greatly to the excitement. To help out with safety and logistics spectators should plan on arriving by 7 AM. Shade tents, chairs, and coolers are welcomed.

The Series Point Standings are now posted. The Standings will continue to be based upon the top finishes in three races. There are nearly 200 participants that have registered for either three, four or five races in the Series.

Remember, this is the best site for updated race and registration information and projections. Your Active.com receipt is your confirmation; we do not send additional confirmation. The preregistered list will be posted on the Wednesday or Thursday before each racedate.

CSTS NAMED A TOP TEN CHARLESTON SIGNATURE SPORT EVENT

It is hard to believe that this summer will mark the Twentieth Anniversary of the Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series. Nearly 25,000 people have raced in CSTS over the years. Earlier this year the Charleston Metro Sports Council named the Top Ten Charleston Signature Sport Events. Named along with the Family Circle Tennis Cup and The Cooper River Bridge Run; it is a great honor for the Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series to be named to this very prestigious list. It is never too early to give thanks for the great things we have in our lives; these very special Sunday's that bring so many people and families together is a gift to us all. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time and effort to be part of the Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series.

Be careful in your training. See you soon,
Paul and Kathleen King
